Kathleen Osterbind

Kathleen Ann Osterbind(Kathy), 68, of Knightdale, NC passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2024.
Kathy was born on August 9, 1955 in Chesterfield, VA where she grew up and graduated from Thomas Dale High School in 1973. Kathy proudly held several other titles including Mama, Ma, Granamaw, Mimi and Nana. She worked as a paralegal for Hunton and Williams for more than 20 years and was enjoying her retirement from there. Kathy had a green thumb for plants, she was crafty, loved antiques and the beach. Kathy's most joyous moments were when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by her daughters, Ginger Marie Ellington Wade (Joseph) and Heather Lynn Hill-Strickland (Lewis); grandchildren, Amber Paige and Virginia Ann Barnard and Grayson Haitema-Hill; her sisters, Darlene Grosz and Jeannie Lane (Kenneth); numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Olivia Osterbind; grandparents, Oscar and Lillian Osterbind and George and Pearl Blankenship; her brothers Steven, Albert and James Osterbind.
There will be a celebration of life for her on January 25th, 2024 at 4pm at Millbrook United Methodist Church, 1712 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. And on January 27, 2024 at 11am at God's Storehouse Baptist Church at 5007 Jessup Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23237.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2610 Wycliff Road, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27607.
