Tommie Kathleen Moon Partain, age 94, went home to be with her Lord and Savior after passing away peacefully at Piedmont Athens Regional on October 15, 2025.
Born on March 2, 1931, in Elberton, Georgia, Kathleen cherished living in her hometown for most of her life.
Kathleen began her career working in sales at Belk’s department store on the Elberton Square. Later, she worked alongside her husband Sidney in his business for 44 years. As a devoted mother, she was known for her pure grace and generosity, always giving to her children, grandchild and family.
Kathleen enjoyed filling her days with a variety of hobbies, including refurbishing antique furniture, tending to her roses, cooking, baking, and fishing. She also enjoyed building beautiful small-scale covered bridges, houses, and barns. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Kathleen will be fondly remembered for her loving spirit, wisdom, humor, and warmth. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. She will be remembered with great love and deep appreciation by all of her family.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, George Sidney Partain, with whom she shared 66 wonderful years of marriage; her parents Wrigth Moon and Molly Moon; her sister Rosema Butler (Samuel); brother-in-law Clyde Partain; Sister-in-law Mildred Eaves (Larry); her nephews Larry Butler, Johnny Butler.
She is survived by her loving children, Linda Moak (Mike) of Athens, GA and Phillip Partain (Linda) of Hartwell, GA, grandchild, Travis Moak of Ila, GA, Nieces: Marsha Eaves Burgess (Frank); Sheila Eaves Kinser (Ricky), and nephew Wayne Butler (June).
To honor her request, she will be cremated, A private service will be held at a later date and time.
