McPeek Hoekstra Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation ServiceKathleen “Terry” Pratt, 79, of Granville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025. She was born on August 21, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Frank and Ada (Roberts) Romei, and later made Granville her lifelong home. A proud 1964 graduate of Granville High School, Terry was known for her kind heart, easy laugh, and deep love for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Pratt, with whom she shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Terry is survived by her three children, Cindi (Matt) Pratt, Michael (Nadia) Pratt, and Robert (Cara) Pratt; her five grandchildren, Brittni (Ryan) Grisez, Jacob Pratt, Hana Malik-Pratt, Eva Malik-Pratt, and Catherine Pratt; her brother, Michael “Elmo” (Cathy) Romei; and her sister, Midge (Robert) Evans.
Terry retired from Granville Lumber after many years of dedicated work. She and her husband, David, shared a deep love of travel and adventure, exploring the world together and creating memories that lasted a lifetime. Their travels began with their honeymoon in Frankenmuth, Michigan, and continued over the years to Hawaii, Alaska, and destinations across Europe, including Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and France. They also enjoyed many memorable trips to Buffalo Trace Distillery and Jungle Jim’s International Market in Cincinnati. Whether discovering new places or simply enjoying each other’s company, their adventures were always filled with laughter, curiosity, and joy.
In retirement, Terry also cherished the simple pleasures of everyday life—lunch outings with her classmates, countless hours of Canasta with dear friends, and baking sweet treats for those she loved. She also found comfort and companionship in her two loyal dogs, Lillie and Dandy, who were always by her side.
Above all else, Terry loved her family fiercely and was endlessly proud of each of them—never missing a chance to share their latest accomplishments. Her kindness and humor touched everyone she met, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
