Ronald Ray Sargent, age 78, of Granville, Ohio, passed away on September 23, 2025. He was born January 29, 1947, in Leon, West Virginia, to the late Glenn H. and Velma M. (Underwood) Sargent.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Madeline (Bill) Murphy, and his brothers, Paul, Cecil, and Herbert Sargent.
Ron is survived by his wife, Cecilia V. (Chavez) Sargent; his sister, Emaline (John) Teeuwissen; his sister-in-law, Phillis (Cecil) Sargent; his children Lora Daniel, Ronda (Brian) Kinnett, Ronnie (Betsy) Sargent, Joaquin (Denise) Vargas, Jessica (Ernie) Hockinberry, Bernadette (Gary) Padilla, Ryan (Brandi) Sargent, Charles Revello, and Charity Lopez; as well as 38 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00–2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Jackson Avenue Baptist Church, 2816 Jackson Avenue, Point Pleasant, West Virginia, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Elders Steve Taylor and Hubert Sears.
