Kathleen Marie Reysack, 78, of Ackley, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Grand JiVante in Ackley of heart failure. Funeral services will be 10:30 on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the Geneva United Methodist Church with burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley.
Kathleen was born April 21, 1945 in Hampton, Iowa to Sebo and Marion (Clock) Reysack. She was a graduate of Ackley-Geneva Community School and Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois. She loved school and was always an avid reader.
Kathy was a childcare provider for four years in Illinois. She then moved to Eldora and became a CNA, working for 26 years at Valley View Care Center. The Eldora Hospital was her final place of employment.
Kathy loved to be with people. She was on a bowling team for several years, even bowling in the state tournament. Volunteering at church, the library, and the Eldora theater were favorite activities of hers. She always had a story to tell and could talk to anyone.
Following a severe accident in 2019, she entered Eldora Specialty Care, later transferring to Grand JiVante to be closer to her family.
Kathy is survived by her brother Jim of Geneva; her sisters: Charlotte Youngberg of Verona, MO and Marcia Sailer of Ackley; her sister-in-law, Bev Reysack of Morristown, MN: and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Pat Reysack; two brothers-in-law, Lyle Youngberg and Ron Sailer; and one sister-in-law Charlene Reysack.
