Kathleen Ringo Obituary
She was born on January 3, 1935, to James & Gertrude Pledger, in Manns Harbor, NC.
Kathleen spent her entire life taking care of others and would never miss an opportunity to provide a special touch that might bring joy to the lives of those who crossed her path. If asked what brought her the most happiness, she would reply, "my children" and that included her grandchildren. A very special bond was created the day she became a grandmother to Paul K. Jess and that bond only grew stronger over the years ~ as he saw her through to the very end of her life, making sure to provide her with the comfort and compassion that she so very much deserved. He was her hero and therefore became ours, as he cared for our mother with unwavering love and dedication.
She leaves her children, Vicki Woody of Norfolk, Maria Peskopos (Blanca) of Smyrna, GA, Rusty Peskopos (Paige) of Newport News, Terri Anderson (Win) of Suffolk; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers. In addition to her parents, Kathleen is predeceased by 3 brothers.
The family would like to thank the amazing team from Westminster Hospice ~ Ashley, Casey, Dawn and Shantell… Our angels of mercy!
A celebration of life will be held at 2pm on September 20, 2025, at Compassion Church, 750 Manning Rd. Suffolk, Virginia 23434. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
