Kathleen "Kathy" A. Stoffels, age 75, of Minneapolis, MN died June 12th, 2024.
Kathy was born in Madison Wisconsin and attended high school there. She went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota and decided to make Minneapolis her home. She loved living in NE Minneapolis and all the cultural opportunities available to her. She loved art, music and theater.
She began her career as a respiratory therapist and provided care to patient for about 20 years in several Twin City hospitals. She later studied financial planning and became a CFP.
She loved gardening and nature. She was especially proud of her perennial garden at her home. She took up birding and took nature hikes frequently around the State to observe birds and nature.
Over the years she had several dogs and cats. Her favorite dog was a black lab named Rocky who she would take everywhere with her. She happily opened her home to dog sit friends' dogs when needed.
Kathy had a cheerful personality and was quick with a kind word.
Kathy is survived by brother Rick (Mary) and nephews Karl, Sam (Bea) and Jacob (Kelly).
The family wishes to thank the Visiting Angels team for all the care they provided Kathy over the last six years.
Graveside service June 21st at 11:00 Hillside Cemetery/Washburn-McReavy 2610 19th Ave NE Minneapolis, MN 55418
Meet in the Cemetery Office. From there we will take a short walk as a group to the Bell Tower.
