Roland "Rollie" Joseph Flynn
Adored Father, Boppa and Brother, age 73, of Woodbury (formerly of Mendota Heights) passed away on October 7, 2025, due to complications from a stroke. Preceded in death by beloved wife, Lynn; parents, Rollie and Bettie; siblings Shirley (Denny) Roche and Mike; and brother-in-law, Joel Tracy.
Survived by daughters, Meghan (Chris) Laughlin and Katie (Adam) Benscoter; his grandchildren whom he was so proud of, Sophia, Gavin and Ben Laughlin, and Ellen, June and Frannie Benscoter. Also survived by siblings, Jane (Jim) Dean, Betty Jo (Mark) Votel, Rich (Joy), Delia, Dannette (Doug) Sexton and Denise Abbott; brothers-in-law Greg (Nancye) and Jim Doelle; many nieces, nephews, special cousins and dear friends.
Rollie will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, generous heart and immense love for his family.
Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Tuesday, October 21, at Church of the Assumption, 51 W. 7th Street, St. Paul. Visitation 4-8 PM Monday, October 20, at Washburn-McReavy, 515 Highway 96 W., Shoreview, and at the church one hour prior to Mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please enjoy a simple pleasure Rollie loved: treat a friend to a good burger and a cold beer. Special thanks to the ICU and Neuroscience staff at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital for the tremendous care they provided Rol and the kindness they extended to his family.
