Obituary - KATHLEEN STRIGHT
Kathleen Callahan Stright, 81, passed January 30, 2025 at the Libby Care Center. She was born November 25, 1943 at Tivoli, New York to Donald R. Callahan and Elizabeth M. (Pease) Callahan. She attended school at Tivoli and had later resided throughout the U.S. and Europe where her former husband served in the U.S. Army.
Upon her return, she came to Libby in the earlier 1980's where she raised her family. She was employed by several families doing professional housekeeping and also the Nelson and Vial Funeral Home for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, raising plants, berries, apples, trees and bushes and all of God's creation that this area offered. Kathy loved animals, especially dogs and kitties, birds and anything else she could raise as a pet. Throughout her years, she enjoyed visiting shut-ins especially those at the Libby Care Center.
Preceding her in death is a son, James R. Stright; her parents, a sister Ellen and a brother Michael. She is survived by sons, Sean and Aaron; and sisters, Maureen, Donna and Denise; her grandchildren, Kyleah, Forest, Logan and Braelin; and 2 great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday (Feb. 4) from 1-7 p.m. at the Schnackenberg Funeral Home in Libby. Graveside services will be Wednesday (Feb. 5) at 2:00 p.m. at the City of Libby Cemetery. Arrangements are under
