Kathleen Turner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jones Funeral Home, Inc. - Crossett on Mar. 3, 2026.
Kathleen Faye Turner, 81, of Cabot, Arkansas, and formerly of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Kathleen was born on February 4, 1945, in Great Falls, Montana, to Howard E. and Grace R. Ferrell. From an early age, she carried with her a gentle spirit, a warm smile, and a love for the simple joys in life that would remain with her always.

A devoted member of The Presbyterian Church of Crossett, Kathleen's faith was a steady foundation throughout her life. She found great happiness in sharing her talents and time with others. Whether she was sitting at the piano filling her home with music, carefully crocheting or sewing something special for someone she loved, or enjoying a game of bingo with friends, Kathleen embraced each day with quiet joy.

She had a special appreciation for nature and could often be found watching birds, taking delight in their beauty and song. She also loved working in the yard, whether it be planting flowers, strawberries and tomatoes, or just cutting tree limbs. She enjoyed her time working at The Crossett Public Library as books were a passion of hers. Kathleen's hands were rarely still, and her heart was always open. She will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, and the warmth she brought to her family and friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and was a wonderful Mammaw.

Her life was a beautiful reflection of love, faith, and simple blessings, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Coleman Turner. Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Burt(Justin) of Oklahoma City, OK and Julie Morden (Kenny) of El Paso, AR; one son, Michael Turner (Stephanie) of West Monroe, LA; four grandchildren, Coby Trichel, Zack Trichel, Lorna Conner and Oliver Turner along with four great grandchildren, Elle and Clark Conner and Avery and McKenna Connor; Siblings: George Ferrell (Ginny), Judie Wiggins, and Joe Ferrell (Glenda).

A Celebration of Life service is on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 2:00 Pm at The Presbyterian Church of Crossett with Rev. Lauren Moore officiating. Pallbearers are Kenny Morden, Michael Turner, Justin Burt, Bruce Turner, Cody Conner, BJ Connor. Interment is in Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.

Visitation begins at 1:00 PM prior to the service.
