Kathleen Ann Woolman, age 72, a resident of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 27, 2025 at Edward Hospital. She was born on January 21, 1953 in Lake Forest, IL.
Kathleen is survived by her devoted husband of more than 20 years, Douglas Woolman; her loving sons, Matthew (Carissa) Santell of Cincinnati, OH and Phillip (Taylor) Santell of Chicago, IL; her cherished mother, Janet Clark; her dear sisters, Janet Lee Younglove, Constance Mary Harlan, and Mary Elizabeth Whiteaker, and nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Younglove, and sister, Jane Allyn Younglove.
Kathy grew up in Lake Forest, where her lifelong zest for playing games with family began at an early age while competing with her four sisters. She carried that joyful, competitive spirit throughout her life, always ready for a round of cards or a friendly challenge.
Kathy enjoyed an active lifestyle, taking long walks, playing golf, and spending time in Naples, Florida - though she preferred the shade to the sun. A lifelong learner and thinker, she was an avid reader who loved crossword puzzles and sudoku.
She was deeply devoted to her career, working side by side with her husband and valued co-workers. Kathy's kindness, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew her, and she will be dearly missed by the many people who love her very much.
For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Kathleen's life, memorial donations may be directed to the Loaves & Fishes Action Fund.
All services are private. Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Naperville, IL was entrusted with arrangements.
