Medina/West Virginia: Kathlene “Kathy” A. Hinman, age 67 passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2025 at her home. She was born December 6, 1957 in Medina to the late Roy and Ruth (James) Dunn Sr.
Kathy enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and watching her grandchildren grow. She could play cards and board games with the best of them! Her Elvis Presley collection was second to none and she was proud of it! She was the definition of what home felt like with her cooking and hugs. Kathy was kind and compassionate with a witty sense of humor to keep you on your toes.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Raymond Hinman Sr. in 2005.
Kathy is survived by her loving companion Walter Adkins of 28 years, daughters, Roxanne (Sonny) Hinckley, Katrina (Michael) Hernandez, Holly (Nate) Byrd, Jaye (Kyle) Kimbell, and Amber Hinman. Her grandchildren Tawny, Karlie, Brooke, Ashley, Renee, Azalea, Jordan, KoryLee, Jaxson, Luke, Hunter, Harper, great-grandchildren Fox, Elena, Carter and Waylon, brothers Roy Dunn Jr, John (late wife Barb) Dunn, Edwin (Mary) Dunn. Along with many nieces, nephews and extended family in West Virginia.
Services for Kathy will be held privately and her family will send out details in the future.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Alzheimer’s association.
Kathy’s arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home 215 W. Center St. Medina, NY.
