Kathryn Jordan Atkinson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on Thursday, September 6th, 1951, in Lake City, South Carolina, Kathryn was a guiding light to her family and friends, known for her dedication, warmth, and kindness.
Kathryn is survived by her loving family who meant the world to her: her husband, Bobby Joe Atkinson of Kingstree; her son, Lee Gibbons and his wife, Robin, of Dunn, NC; her daughters, Shandi Cox and husband Justin of Florence, and Brandi Williamson and husband Rich of Kingstree. She was the proud grandmother to Colt Gibbons, Aubrey Cannon, Madelyn Cox, Gabby Cox, Kathryn Cox, Rayland Cox, Gracie Williamson, Billy Williamson, and Easton Williamson. Kathryn is also survived by her brother, Buddy Jordan and his wife Jennie of Olanta; her cherished niece, Marianne Segars; and her devoted nephews, Eric Jordan, Kevin Jordan, and Kurt Jordan. She joins her beloved parents, Clifford Becott Jordan, Sr. and Mae Elizabeth Lynch Jordan, and her sister, Beth Smith, in eternal rest.
Kathryn dedicated her professional life to her role as an Administrator, where she touched many lives through her commitment and professionalism. She was an active member of the Moose Lodge of Kingstree, where she fostered many enduring friendships and contributed tirelessly to her community.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kathryn's life in a service held in the chapel of Floyd Funeral Home on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. A visitation will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at Floyd Funeral Home, located at 138 E. Main Street, Olanta, SC.
Pallbearers honoring Kathryn's legacy include Colt Gibbons, Billy Williamson, Aubrey Cannon, Eric Jordan, Kevin Jordan, and Kurt Jordan. Honorary pallbearers will be Easton Williamson and Rayland Cox.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Nazareth United Methodist Church, 215 Park Avenue, Olanta, SC or McLeod Hospice House, 1203 E. Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29506, in memory of Kathryn's unwavering spirit and joyous life.
Kathryn Jordan Atkinson's life was one filled with love, laughter, and dedication to those she held dear. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.
