Kathryn Virginia Batton

Kathryn Virginia Batton, 87, of Jacksonville, FL passed away December 5, 2025. She was born on January 30, 1938 in Vienna, GA to the late Clarence and Hildred (Etheridge) Cason. Kathryn was a 1956 graduate from Maryland High School. She received her Associate degree from St. Johns River State College and her Bachelor degree from the University of North Florida. Kathryn worked for the City of Jacksonville and was a Realtor with Dan Jones & Associates.
She loved to dance and cherished time spent with her family and friends. Kathryn was the most amazing, loving Mom, dedicated wife and dependable friend. She was kind to everyone she came in contact with and had a generous and determined spirit.
Kathryn was preceded by her best friend and husband, Joseph Samuel Batton; son, Joseph Samuel Batton, Jr. and brothers, Thomas Woodrow Cason and William Alfred Mahrley. She is survived by her daughter, Constance "Connie" Okstad; grandchildren, John Griner, IV, Tyler Rummel and Steven (Austin) Okstad; great grandchildren, Jag and Lacey with numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, December 12, 2025 in the Jacksonville Memory Gardens Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until service time.
