Kathryn Louise Blessman

Kathryn Louise Blessman was born on October 11, 1949, to Herbert Allen Blessman and Evelyn Jeanette Blessman (McCandless). Shortly after her birth, her father was ordained as a Methodist minister, which led the family to relocate frequently throughout eastern Kansas.
After many moves, the family eventually settled in Kansas City, Missouri, where her father retired from the ministry. A few years later, they relocated once again-this time to Estes Park, Colorado-where they became proud owners of the Hobby Horse Hotel and two gift shops. When her father retired from the family businesses, the family moved once more and found their forever home in Del City, Oklahoma.
Kathy was a devoted member of Sunny Lane Methodist Church and cherished attending Bible studies with her friends and family. She also had a passion for ceramics, enjoying both making and painting them. Above all, Kathy loved spending time with her family; she truly loved with her whole heart.
She is survived by her brother, David Allen Blessman, and his wife Glenda Blessman of Columbia, MO; her nephew Erik Blessman and his family of Colorado Springs, CO; her niece Christy Short and her family of Castle Rock, CO; her nephew Michael McGinley and his family of Yukon, OK; her brother-in-law Gary McGinley of Moore, OK; and her beloved life partner of 30 years, Rex Wright of Del City.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Evelyn Blessman, and her sister, Cheryl McGinley.
