Kathryn Bonnie Frederick, 80, of Bethlehem, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 7, 2025 at her residence. She was born October 16, 1944 in Fountain Hill to the late Michael B. and Mildred M. (Sergent) Smith. A proud "Southsider," Kathryn graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School in 1962; she retired from Guardian Life Insurance in 2008. After retiring Kathryn enjoyed spending time at the Bethlehem Township Community Center, seeing live music and dancing with friends. She was an avid fan of Penn State football and the Philadelphia Flyers. Kathryn was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem Twp.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Scott Frederick, husband of Deema, and Kevin Frederick, husband of DeAnna. 3 grandchildren, Cecilia, Evan, and Nova Frederick; 3 step-grandchildren, Noah, Hanna, and Luke Hertzog. Predeceased by her brother: Michael "Mickey" A. Smith, C.S.C.
Services: Friends and family are invited to her viewing 12:30pm-1:30pm, Saturday July 12, 2025 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Road, Bethlehem. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30pm. The interment will be held privately. Online condolences may be offered at www.connellfuneral.com
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to The Center for Animal Health & Welfare, 1165 Island Park Road, Easton, PA 18042.
