It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathryn Anne Huffman (nee Wilson), age 65.
Kathy is a best friend, mother, mamaw, GG, sister, aunt and a kind soul to all who she came into contact with, including her "fur-babies". Her love of animals, reading and watching TV especially anything Miss Marple, fishing, and the love for her family and friends was apparent to all who knew her. Her loud laugh, big smile, and her willingness to help anyone in need stood out to all lucky enough to spend anytime with her.
Kathy's devotion to her family was clear. She made every holiday, birthday, and family event special, to include making sure her girls got homemade personalized cakes on their birthdays. She made even the smallest of things special.
Kathy was born in Plainwell, Michigan to Franklin Sr and Stella Wilson.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her brother, Franklin Wilson Jr; daughters, Melody (Matthew) Jackson and Angel Huffman; granddaughter Rosa (Dylan) Myers; great-grandchildren Jackson, Braylynn and Evelyn; her close friend always, Larry Huffman; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
There will be a small, private celebration of life, as requested by Kathy. In lieu of cards or flowers the family would appreciate a simple act of kindness in her memory.
While at www.amsfuneralhomes.com please take time to sign Kathy's guestbook and/or share a memory with his family.
The Huffman family is being cared for by the Avink, McCowen & Secord Funeral Homes and Cremation Society, 120 South Woodhams Street, Plainwell, MI 49080. 269-685-5881.
