Kathryn McRae Obituary

Born on February 19, 1969, to her loving parents Martha Kay and Finley McRae, Kathryn was a delightful child. Throughout childhood and her teenage years, Kathryn kept those around her laughing with her natural sense of humor, and later entertained her beloved nieces and nephews with this gift of making people laugh. Kathryn graduated from Graceville High School in 1987 and went on to graduate from Troy University in 1995, with a degree in physical education. After college, Kathryn moved to Orlando for many years, working as a massage therapist and aesthetician.
Kathryn was a loving aunt to Sophie, Jared, Jacob, Rachel, Ezra, Luke, Edith, Collins, and Woods. She adored her nieces and nephews, bringing them joy with her presence. Kathryn was passionate about learning new skills and always tried new things. She never met a stranger in her life and most who met her developed immediate fondness for her. The world will be a little less joyous without her, and she will be greatly missed by those who love her.
Kathryn is predeceased by her grandparents, Robert and Kathryn McRae, Kay Cee Roby, Fred and Robena Davis, her uncle Scott Davis, her aunt, and uncle Danky and Al Blanton, Sr., and her cousin John Davis Register.
Kathryn is survived by her parents, Finley and Martha Kay McRae of Graceville, her siblings, Roby Bethke (Derek), Caroline Dauzat (Timothy), Finley Anne McRae, and Charles McRae (Anna). Her nieces and nephews, Jared, Jacob and Rachel Bethke, Sophia and Ezra Dauzat, Luke and Edith McRae, Collins and Woods McRae. Her uncles and aunts, Robert and Hilda McRae, Joe and Suzanne Sheffield, Freddie and Brenda Davis, Donna Baird, Steve and Sharon Register, Todd and Tammy Davis. And all her many cousins!
A graveside service will be 10:30 AM, CST, Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Dr. Naethen Hendrix officiating, James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.
In lieu of flowers family request those wishing to make memorials to Partners for Pets www.partnersforpetsmarianna.com or to the First Baptist Church of Graceville 987 8th Avenue Graceville, Florida 32440.

I just heard about the death of my childhood friend Katherine back in November. She was a good friend that brought me many smiles along the way. It has been many years since I have seen her, but I remember her infectious personality

Our hearts are so saddened to hear about the passing of our dear friend and classmate. We extend our condolences to her mother, father, and sisters along with her extended family. She was a joy to know. The world will never be the same, knowing she is not here.
