Patrick Makselan
September 28, 1952 – August 21, 2025

Patrick Makselan, age 72, of Painesville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

He was born in September of 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Mildred Makselan, and was married to Beth Makselan (Wrana) who preceded him in death in August of 2016.

Patrick graduated from South High, in Cleveland, in 1970, and joined the United States Navy where he was stationed and served in Pensacola, Florida. He earned a bachelor's degree from Troy State University and made a home in Pensacola until the year 2000. He returned to Ohio and married Beth, his high school sweetheart, in January of 2001 on the Harpersfield Covered Bridge.

Patrick was a friend to many, beloved in his church community, and known for his kind heart. His wit and candor will be missed by those who knew and loved him, and it's with hope that they carry his spirit forward.

He is survived by his sister Sandra Schlosser (Ken) of Walton Hills, Ohio; John Makselan (Cindy) of Canfield, Ohio; a son, three stepchildren, and several step grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother Don and sisters, Linda and Patricia.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 4pm – 6pm at Bridge Church at Perry with light refreshments, stories and fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, and in the spirit of Patrick, please do a random act of kindness for someone.

Yesterday

Pat was the best neighbor anyone could ask for. His kindness and smile, and Beth´s also will not be forgotten by my children and I . May he rest in peace. He certainly will be remembered fondly. Prayers to his family and friends. He will be missed. The Linch Family
