Kathryn Joan "Kitty" Sparks (Parish), age 77, passed away on December 22, 2023, in Corpus Christi, TX. She was born on Monday, April 01, 1946, in Omaha, Douglas, NE to George and Geraldine Parish. Kathy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and daughter. She was known for her passion for decorating for the holidays, particularly Christmas, and was featured in a local news article for those decorating efforts. She had a love for baking, ceramics and gardening, enjoying all her flowers while being a dedicated homemaker.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Sharon; sons: Ted Wayne Jr. (Suzanne); Bobby (Mark); Brian (Gayle); Gary; and sister Debbie Summers (David) along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, George Klett Parish, and mother, Geraldine Mae Parish (Darling).
Kathy attended Mary Carrol High School and later enjoyed an entrepreneur spirit of selling Tupperware and Avon. She also held positions with Walmart and Allied Barton, working at Flint Hills. In her free time, Kathy enjoyed many hobbies: painting ceramics; holiday baking, sewing, gardening, decorating for holidays and being a mother to her five children where she served as a volunteer at their schools.
A celebration of Kathy's life will be held on January 13, 2024, at 2PM at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, TX. She will be buried at Johnson City Masonic Cemetery on January 27th surrounded by her family.
