Kathy 'Poulette' Baldridge, age 73, of Porter, Texas, passed from this life into eternal life with her Savior on November 4, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Kathy was born on October 15, 1952, in Crowley, Louisiana, the second child of Gilbert Luke Trahan and Mable Joyce Hayes. At the age of one, her family moved to Texas. After several years in Deer Park, the family settled in Porter, Texas, in the summer of 1966, where she quickly became part of the close-knit community and formed many cherished, lifelong friendships.
In 1976, Kathy married Donald Ray Baldridge, Sr., blending their two families and welcoming one daughter together. They remained devoted to each other until his passing in 2021. Over the years, Kathy remained very active, playing softball weekly with community friends, joining bowling and volleyball leagues, and coaching her daughter's ball teams. She loved spending time with her family. Sunday dinners and visits to Louisiana to see her aunts and cousins were always a special time for her.
Kathy retired from the United States Postal Service after 25 years of service. She later partnered with a dear friend to open a resale shop in Porter, where she found joy in serving her customers and making new friends.
In April 2016, at the age of 64, God graciously saved her. She was baptized and became a member of Key Life Fellowship in New Caney. From that moment on, her faith deepened as she grew to love her Savior more and more. She cherished her church family, who held a very special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Kathy is survived by her children: Michael Joe Wood of Porter, Nina Michele "Shelley" Want and husband Paul of Huffman, Debora Gaye Whitehead and husband Ronnie of Tomball, Teresa Kaye Weyer and husband Jim of Houston, Sharon Faye Garcia and husband Luis of Spring, Donald Ray Baldridge, Jr. and wife Julie of Spring, Tracy Jaye Wilburn of Hockley, and Kristi Lynne Roberts and husband Gary of Kingwood; 7 grandsons: Mario Luis Garcia (Julie), Eduardo Julian Garcia (Kathryn), Carlos Fernando Garcia, Austen Ray Baldridge (Kaitlin), Joshua Preston Weyer (Laura), Jared Paxton Weyer (Samantha), and Owen Michael Roberts; 7 granddaughters: Brittney Rae Dominguez (Ricky), Chelsey Nadine Rigg (Bobby), Alison Diane Baldridge, Autumn Renee Baldridge, Hannah Daniele Cox (Joshua), Abbey Michele Scott (Matheu) and Sara Jane Roberts; 6 great grandsons: River Ayden Dominguez, Holden Ray Lusk, Blake Roman Dominguez, Bexar Alexander Garcia, Asher Lockhart Garcia, Shepherd Shin Scott and one due in May; 7 great granddaughters: Presley Jane Lusk, Collin Claire Baldridge, Savannah Cadence Rigg, August Jane Baldridge, Evelyn Olivia Rigg, Belle Anderson Garcia, and Meadow Carter Cox; her sister, Linda Jane Jones and husband Kenneth and her brother, Kenneth Wayne Trahan and his wife Paula; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and work and church families.
