Kathy Elaine Bolin, born August 18, 1961, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. She was a retired PEO at City of Louisville, Kentucky. Kathy loved her job and went far and beyond her duties. Kathy loved her children and grandchildren with everything in her. Kathy was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She was easy to get along with, she never let anyone push her around. If she trusted you she would stay loyal to you. She married the love of her life, Kyle Bolin, Sr.. She had two sons, Kyle Jr. and Kenny "Rocky". She has three beautiful granddaughters, Autumn, Marley and Lyra. Her mother was her Hero. She loved her dearly. She had 2 brothers, Jimmy, Jr. and Frank. She had 2 sisters, Lillian and Gloria. She had a lot of nieces and nephews. Her once niece Vanna helped take care of her and she always said Vanna was her little girl she never had.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Eugene Bolin, Sr.; her son, Kyle Eugene Bolin, Jr.; her sisters, Lillian "Cheeks", Gloria Smith; her brother, Jamesa Bryan; and parents, James Roy Bryan, Sr. and Elizabeth McKay Bryan.
She is survived by her son, Kenny Bolin (Jayme); three grandchildren, Autumn (Cameron), Marley and Lyra; brother, Frank Bryan (Sue); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Cornerstone Community Church, 10600 Lower River Road. Her Funeral Service will be on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Cornerstone Community Church, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
The family requests that contributions in Kathy’s memory be made to Shirley's Way or Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel to assist with final expenses.
