Kathy Marie Bridges, age 67 of Ocean Springs, MS, left this earth to her heavenly home on September 20, 2023, after a long illness.
Kathy was born May 27, 1956, to the late Loomas and Mary Evelyn Mann in Gulfport, MS. She was a 1974 graduate of Gulfport High School. In 1979, she married Rex Bridges of Gulfport.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and sister Audrey Saucier. She is survived by her husband Rex; her daughter Katie Marie (Chris) Ely and her granddaughters Gabby and Hazel Grace. She is also survived by her sisters Peggy Newman and Doris Farmer; nieces Tami Newman, Kendra Landry, Pamela Traylor, Angie Farmer, Lisa Farmer, Stephanie Martin and Rachel Priest; four great-nephews; six great-nieces; three great-great-nephews and two great-great-nieces.
Kathy was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Biloxi, where she served as the nursery coordinator for 21 years. Her gift was children's ministry over the course of 40 years, serving at Handsboro Baptist Church and Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Gulfport. She was very blessed to share God's love to so many children and families.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church Biloxi, 1560 Popps Ferry Road, Biloxi, on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 10:00 AM with Pastor Smokey Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Park in Gulfport.
