It is with a heavy heart that the Bartusiak family announces that Mr. Terence Lee Bartusiak, beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away on 5 March 2026, at the age of 73.
Born 25 March 1952 to Maryann and Joseph Bartusiak in Morton Grove, Illinois, Terence was the oldest of 4, and loved his little siblings Judy, Danny, and Michael very much. After graduating high school in 1970, Terence went on to the Illinois Institute of Technology and then the University of Southern Mississippi, earning his Bachelor of Science and master’s in computer science. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years (1974-1984), and was an instructor in electronics and computer technology, where he shared his knowledge and skillset freely as was his nature in life as well as in the service. While serving in the Air Force, he met the love of his life, Jeanina. They got married on 21 June 1975 and were able to celebrate their 50th anniversary last summer with family and friends. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Terence became a Software Engineer for ICW at Keesler Air Force Base, and maintained this profession, while progressing in his field, until his retirement in 2008.
With his wife Jeanina he had three sons of whom he was immensely proud. Nina was with him until the very end, and all three sons and their families came together for him. He lives on through his loving wife, Nina, 2 brothers, Danny and Michael, 3 sons, Nathaniel, Jonathan, and Joseph, and 8 grandchildren, Michael, David, Timothy, Sara, Rachel, Katelynn, Earle, and Matthew. His life, love, and resounding impact will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers a donation to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
