Kathy Broome Obituary
Kathy Lane McClung Broome, age 65, of Crouse, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Atrium Health in Lincolnton. She was born November 11, 1957, to the late Joe Luther and Sarah Elizabeth Gunter McClung.
Kathy loved watching baseball and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Kathy loved her fur babies. She was also an amazing Ne-Nee to her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her sister Bonnie McClung; and granddaughter, Brie Broome.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Tom Broome, Jr.; daughter, Katherine “Chrissy” Smith (Jason); son, Ryan Broome (Shannon); sister, Melba Scott; grandchildren, Katie Smith, Ben Smith, Jayla Broome, Josh Broome, and Aleshia Broome; several nieces and nephews; and her fur baby, Maze.
A Time of Remembrance will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services.
