Mrs. Kathy “Kat” Ingram Brown, 66, died on Monday, July 17, 2023. Born, July 18, 1956, in Cheraw, SC, she was a daughter of the late William “Bill” Harley and Eloise Driggers Ingram. Kat was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Cheraw, SC, and volunteered with Paws & Claws. She loved taking care of and rescuing animals, as well as visiting and ministering at nursing homes and drag racing. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, listed above, Kat was preceded in death by a nephew, Brian Edward Ingram.
Kathy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 48 years, Roy L. Brown, II; a daughter, Kristel Teal (Danny) of Cheraw, SC; a brother, William Edward Ingram of Cheraw, SC; a sister, Libby Pigge (Jimmy) of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Judah Britt and Legacy Teal; a nephew, Andy Pigge (Erin); and a special cousin, Kathy “Kitten” Hunt (Bobby).
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Kiser Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the Funeral Home. An inurnment will take place in Patrick Cemetery following the visitation.
Memorial Donations may be made to Paws & Claws, PO Box 386, Chesterfield, SC 29709; ASPCA at www.aspca.org; or to a charity of one’s choice.
Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Brown family in their time of grief.
