Kathy Beth Lundeen Collin

 

Kathy Beth Lundeen Collin, age 52, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in Salt Lake City, Utah after a lengthy illness. She was born February 22, 1971, in Los Angeles, California and later adopted by Gregory and Patricia Maxcy Lundeen. She grew up in Covina, California but lived in Corcoran, CA, Newman, CA, Victorville, CA, Ogden, UT, Roosevelt, UT and Layton, UT. She graduated from South Hills High School.

 

She was involved with the girl scouts; in high school she was part of marching band and drama, she played softball and organized the Victorville Clothes Swap.

 

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married Craig Collin on August 26, 2006, in the Fresno Temple in Fresno, California. They were later divorced. She held various callings, but loved to be part of Primary, especially Primary Chorister.

 

Kathy has three daughters; Jacquelyn Rachelle, Hannah Kathleen, and Jeni Lynn who were her everything. She loved music, crocheting, knitting, needlework, crafting, word searches, puzzles, and family history.

 

She is survived by her three daughters; Jacquelyn Rachelle, Hannah Kathleen, and Jeni Lynn, parents; Gregory and Patricia Lundeen, siblings; Darcy (Tony) Cannon, Debby (Brandon) Durgan, Grady (Jessica) Lundeen, Rodney (Allison) Lundeen and Krissy (Douglas) Buckner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins Tom and Jennifer, Aunt Jeannine, Uncle John, and Grandma Sonia.

 

Kathy was preceded in death by her sister Stacy Rae, two brothers; Gregory Ryan and Jeremy Scott; grandparents; Ernie Lundeen, Dorothy and Chet Wynkoop, Berniece Haddox, and Raymond Gerber.

Funeral services will be held Friday October 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Crestwood Ward Chapel, 1039 Crestwood Rd., Kaysville, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Thursday October 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

 

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
