Kathy Marie Cruthis, loved for her genuine and caring personality, left us on Friday, September 6, 2024.
Kathy is preceded in death by her husband, Alex Earl Cruthis, son Steven Paul Cruthis, parents Johnny Myers and Gladys Sykes, and sister Susan Ann Ray. She is survived by her daughter Kayla Marie Cruthis.
Kathy was born on March 14th, 1958, in Bay City, Texas where she was raised. Kathy moved to Mexia, Texas where she met her husband, Alex. They married on July 27th, 1985, and shared a life of 24 years. Together they cherished family, especially their son and daughter, Steven and Kayla, and built a life full of moments and memories that will be remembered forever with love, laughter, and a heart filled with hope.
Kathy, when not doing word search puzzles or playing computer games, enjoyed spending time with family, and running around town to see friends for weekly chit-chats. She enjoyed heartfelt conversations to catch up on all of the news and loved a good laugh that brought tears to your eyes. It's a laugh that filled the room for she knew it was moments of laughter that were good for the soul.
Her dog, Piper, also served as a close companion and ensured things were very lively. Her daughter, Kayla, was the treasure of her heart and made the title of "mother" her most beloved remembrance.
Kathy and her kind-heartedness will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends that knew her, as she is remembered by them fondly.
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, Texas.
