Kathy (Durec) Haske, age 76, of New Lisbon, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. Kathy was born on March 10, 1949, in Chicago, IL. to Sam and Josephine (Lucas) Durec. The family moved to New Lisbon in 1952. There Kathy attended New Lisbon Schools, where she met and married who would become the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Haske. They were united in marriage on May 14, 1966, from that marriage they were blessed with two loving sons, Michael A. and Darren J. Kathy enjoyed helping people in whatever way she could and many times put others before herself.

She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hustler, WI., where she was the treasurer for many years for the women's organization and on the scholarship committee. She was also the treasurer for the Town of Fountain where she resided for many years, and treasurer for the Wisconsin Town Association.

She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and attended many craft shows and enjoyed sharing them with family and friends. Her most enjoyment in life was her family and spending time with them, especially when she could go and help her sons with projects at their homes.

Kathy leaves behind and will be sadly missed by her husband Richard "Dick" and her cherished sons Michael (Sonja) of New Lisbon and Darren of Necedah, a grandson Tyler of Reedsburg, and her loving little dog Toby who will miss her with all his heart. She is further survived by her brothers, Dennis (Betty) Durec of Tomah, Robert Durec of New Lisbon, her sister Darlene (Tom) Leinenger of Appleton, sisters-in-law, Velma Tadych of Madison, Audrey Darga of Verona, Nancy Koson of Acworth, GA., and Doris Quist of New Lisbon and many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Richard and her sister Barbara, brothers-in-law, Red Tadych, Ron Darga, and Duane Quist.
