Robert Haske, 82, of Crystal Lake, passed away on January 2, 2026. He was born September 11, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois.
Bob was truly one of a kind. He could make a room laugh without even trying. He was direct, to the point, and often stubborn, but beneath that tough exterior was a deeply sentimental and loving man. Family meant everything to him, and nothing made him prouder than his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Haske; his children, Jennifer (Matt) Chiappetta, Joshua Haske (Kirsti Zimmerman), John (Jenna) Hajewski, and Deanne Peck; his grandchildren, Madelyn and Byron Chiappetta, and JT, Jaymie, and Justin Hajewski; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and his sister, Sally McCaulley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.
Bob spent much of his career as a groundskeeper for Illinois School District 300, where he was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to mentor others through hands-on teaching. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and boating, and was always building, fixing, or creating something with his hands.
