Kathy Hendricks Obituary
Kathy Hendricks, 77, of Winterset, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, at her home.
Kathy Jo Wilson was born November 25, 1948, in Winterset to Marvin Sr. and Marabelle Clark Wilson.
In high school, Kathy was active in FHA and was the majorette for the marching band. She graduated from Winterset High School with the class of 1967 and then went to UNI for a time.
Walter "Bud" Hendricks and Kathy were married in Winterset on June 7, 1969.
Kathy spent most of her life in Winterset where she enjoyed her weekly coffee groups, her membership in Beta Sigma Phi - Chapter Theta Mu, and her card clubs. She was a member of the Methodist Church. For many years, she worked at Winterset Elementary School as the school secretary and also was a library associate.
She is survived by daughter, Abby Crannell (Brian) of Adel; sons, Jeff Hendricks (Elizabeth) of Argyle, TX and Tom Hendricks (Rachel) of West Des Moines; her nine grandchildren, Sydnee, Blake, Alyssa (Bruno), Logan, Maria, Jacob, Josh, Harrison, and William; one great-grandson, Nico; and her brother, Marv Wilson Jr. (Mary), of Overland Park, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Sr. and Marabelle Wilson; her husband, Walter "Bud" Hendricks; her brother, Barry Wilson; and her sisters, Becky Young and Cynthia Wilson.
Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2026, from 3-6 p.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Winterset. The funeral will be Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. also at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Winterset, with burial to follow in the Winterset Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kathy's family, to be used in her memory.
