Kathy Ann Henson, age 68, passed away April 1, 2024 at her home. She was born July 15, 1955 in Banner Elk, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Opal Lewis.

 

Kathy had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. She loved cutting up with everyone and was an avid Tar Heels basketball fan. She enjoyed shopping and was known for writing poetry.

 

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 36 years, Gary Henson; son, Joshua Alan Price (Michelle); sister, Wanda Greer (Jerry); grandchildren, Olivia Dixon and Helen Dixon; special niece, Shawna Greer; special great-nephew, Ryan Smith; special cousin, Joanie Lowe; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Meagan Stevans. 

 

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bill Morefield officiating. 

 

At other times, friends and family may visit the home of her sister, Wanda Greer at 183 Beaver Walk Road, Laurel Bloomery, TN 37680.
