Kathy Lea Elizabeth Liedtke, 61, of Lake Tanglewood, TX passed away February 25, 2025.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 Friday, February 28, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount. Interment will be in Miami Cemetery, 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 1, 2025. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Lake Tanglewood Church. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Kathy was born June 30, 1963 in Pampa, TX to Garrett Monroe Helton and Dixie Hines. She married Douglas Earl Liedtke on May 30, 1998 in Lake Tanglewood.
Kathy directed and owned Childcare facilities in Amarillo for over 30 years. Her childcares include, Babies ETC., Kids ETC., and Just for Kids. She retired from those and joined Doug at his business, J & E Wholesale Florist, where she cared for the plants. One of her passions. The passion she loved most was being Nanah to her wonderful grandkids.
She is survived by her husband Doug Liedtke of the home; children, Kassie Garrison and husband Keath of Amarillo, TX, Tyson Liedtke of Sweetwater, TX, and Tanner Lemons of Amarillo, TX; siblings, Charisse Topper of Amarillo, TX and Garrett Helton and wife Kristy, of Guymon, OK; and grandchildren, Haela (Omar), Karrah, Maycie, KyleeJo, Kloie, and Drake.
