Kathy Jean White Rayl, age 75 of Bremen, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Oliver Springs, Tennessee, on March 18, 1950, she was the youngest of eight children born to the late Spencer White and the late Juanita Stepp White.  In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Aaron Rayl, her daughter, Elizabeth Peeler, and her brothers David White and Ralph White.

For more than 20 years, Kathy worked as a dental assistant.  After leaving the dental profession, she found joy in working with the seniors at the Bremen Senior Center for ten years.  In her spare time, she became a skilled pottery artisan and made beautiful pots and treasures out of clay.  Her passion was her family and they loved each other dearly.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons and daughter-in-law, Sean Hovater and Darrin & Chonlada Hovater , all of Bremen; and her precious grandchildren: Elijah Hovater, Kylie Hovater, Whitney Hovater, Devin Hovater, Chloe Peeler, and Austin Nowlen.  Also surviving are her sisters, Louetta Ledford and Linda Beal;  her brothers, Garner White, Doyal White, and Donnie White; a number of nieces and nephews and extended family.

In keeping with her wishes, Kathy will be cremated.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is honored to serve the cremation needs of the Rayl family.
