Kathy Spinks Obituary
Kathy Spinks, 77 of Bowling Green died Sunday, December 7, 2025 at her residence.
The Edmonson County native was the daughter of the late Edward and Ersie Spinks Simmons. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Simmons; two brothers, Roy Basham and Jeffery Simmons; two sisters, Faye Lancaster and Alta Simmons. Kathy was a press operator for Hinton Cleaners.
Leaving to cherish her memory is two sons, William Basham (Randy Allen), Charles Spinks; two daughters, Melodie Phelps and Donna Basham Canler (Stephen); grandchildren whom she raised as her own, Tamecka Phelps (Joshua Lewis) and Chase Phelps (Lindsey Rinquette) along with 17 other grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Simmons and Opal Cardwell (Carlos); one brother, Johnny Simmons; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 12 noon Thursday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
