Kathy Lynn Connell Yaeger, 65, of Grantsboro, NC, went home to be with the Lord on August 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose kindness, faith, and love touched the lives of many. She was a faithful member of Rock of Zion Free Will Baptist Church, where she found joy in her fellowship and service.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Connell, Jr.; her mother, Ann Bazemore; and grandson, Andrew Lucas Yaeger.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Carl Yaeger; her son, Stephen Yaeger (Tannith Dawson); daughter, Heather Hayes (Jameson); sisters, Joyce Connell, Louise Wobbleton (Mike), and Pam Phelps (Kevin); brother, J.M. Connell; sister-in-law, Janine Collier; and six cherished grandchildren, Emma, Ava, Sean, Joshua, Lilly, and Cameron.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Lewis and Ronnie Aycock officiating.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
Kathy’s gentle spirit and unwavering love will be dearly missed but forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the blessing of knowing her.
