Kathleen (Kathy) R. Yesko of Rahway, NJ passed away peacefully at Rahway Hospital on Wednesday March 26th, 2025, at the age of 81.
Kathy was born on March 9th, 1944, in Jersey City, NJ, to Caroline & Geroge Oswald. She was one of 18 children. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her favorite title was Grandma Yesko to her 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, Silas, Steven, and Avery, who stole her heart.
A majority of her life was spent in Rahway where she was a devoted member of St. Mary's church. When at home, she enjoyed planting and gardening and sitting at the kitchen table playing cards, drinking tea, and kibitzing with friends. She was an avid knitter who shared her love by making baby blankets for all the new arrivals and scarves to keep the rest of us warm.
Traveling with her daughter Sandy on missions or adventures, never knowing where they would end up, was her favorite thing to do. Her favorite destinations were always the beach or casinos.
She was predeceased by her husband Richard of 58 years.
Kathy is survived by her 2 sisters, Charlotte and Irene, brother Eddie, and brother-in-law Louie, her 2 children, loving daughter Sandy and son Tim, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 1:00 pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at The Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home located at 275 West Milton Ave in Rahway, NJ 07065.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the Funeral Home. Internment will immediately follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, NJ.
