Katie Lee Goddard

Katie Lee Goddard, 81, of Ewing Township, New Jersey, died on August 31, 2025, in Pennsauken, New Jersey.
She was born on September 26, 1944, to the late Allen and Susie Rivers in Marianna, Florida. Katie was the eldest of four siblings (Eula, Roosevelt, Mary, and Isaac). She graduated high school in Marianna and completed her Cosmetology License in Dothan, Alabama. She was the first in her family to seek opportunities away from her home state, with the work ethic instilled by her parents.
Katie settled in Ewing, New Jersey where she worked for 25 years at the Green Acres Country Club as a server in the hospitality unit. She was much-loved by her co-workers for her cheerful personality and dedication to her work. She later became a caregiver with Community Options, Inc., and provided care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Katie was a longtime member of the Greenwood Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Elks Lodge in Ewing, New Jersey. Katie enjoyed serving her community and gathering with her siblings.
In addition to her parents, Katie was preceded in death by her sister, Eula; her brother, Roosevelt; and her husband, Samuel Goddard.
Katie is survived by her sons, Dr. Bruce Anthony Rivers (Selin) and Brian Allen Goddard; brother, Isaac; sister, Mary; grandchildren, Cashmere Goddard, Rohan Allen Rivers, and Jayan Allen Rivers; and a host of other relatives and friends.
