Simple Traditions Funerals & Cremations by Bradshaw - West SideKatlyn Veronica Bjerkness, age 31, of Silver Bay Minnesota, was born on May 5, 1994, in Grand Marais MN and passed away on February 8, 2026.
Katlyn was a loving and devoted mother who cherished her children more than anything in this world. No one loved their children more fiercely or more wholeheartedly than she did. They were her greatest joy, her proudest accomplishment, and the center of her world.
Katlyn was strong and fierce, with a fire inside her that guided the way she lived. She fought for what she wanted and for what she believed in, especially when it came to her children. Her strength, determination, and bold spirit defined her just as much as her love did. Everyone loved running into her even for the briefest conversation. Her joys were genuine and laughter contagious.
Katlyn had a deep love for fishing and possessed a beautifully creative spirit. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and affectionately referred to herself as the "queen of unfinished projects."
Katlyn was preceded in death by her father, Doug Dodge, and her brother, Zachary Bjerkness.
She is survived by her three beloved children, Elara and Reid Lanwermeyer, and Bennett McDonald; her mother, Heather and Jeremy Frappier; her brothers, Robert Bjerkness and Jacob Bjerkness; her sister, Jordyn Bjerkness; her grandparents, Gary and Robin Bjerkness; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Celebration of life will be held on March 7th from 1-4pm at the Two Harbors Community Center.
417 South Ave, Two Harbors MN.
