Kay Lou Bailey, 75 of Bristol, IN passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at The Waterford Crossing in Goshen, IN. Kay was born on December 22, 1949 in Bremen, IN to Lloyd and Marjorie Roeder. She married Keith Bailey on December 23, 1993 at Bristol United Methodist Church, now known at Bristol Community Church.
Kay graduated from Bremen High School in Bremen, IN., class of 1968. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education at Indiana University South Bend. Kay worked for the Bremen Public School under Title I. Kay enjoyed scrap booking, and decorating dollhouses that her husband would build. Kay enjoyed camping with her family and spending time at their place in Michigan. Kay has been a longstanding member of Bristol Community Church. Most of all Kay loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Kay is survived by her husband of over 32 years, Keith Bailey; children Jason L. Bailey & daughter-in-law Nicole of Bremen, IN., Amanda (Brian) Jamison of Ft. Wayne, IN., Greg Bailey of Bristol, IN and Dr. Jason A. (Nicole) Bailey of Niles, MI., grandchildren Alyssa, Jace, Brynlee, Alanah, Wyatt, Sophia, Isabelle, Russel, Weston, Colton, Joscelyn and Juliette; brother Craig Roeder of Mishawaka, IN and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Bristol Community Church, 201 South Division Street, Bristol, IN 46507. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 with visitation one hour before services. Pastor Gary Lewis will officiate. Kay will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Memorial donations may be made to Bristol Community Church www.bristolcc.org or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting Kay's family.
