Kay Lynn Chamberlain-Eckelberg, 58, of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away at her home on Monday, June 12, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Kay was born on January 16, 1965, in Beloit, Wisconsin, the daughter of Martin Henry and Sharon Kay (Simmons) Chamberlain. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1983. Kay was employed for many years at Ecolab in Roscoe, Illinois.
As a loving mother and free spirit, Kay had an infectious sense of humor. She was adventurous and athletic. Kay was an excellent softball player and a champion box hockey player. Her heart was warmed by gardening, bubbles, and all of God's creatures.
Kay enjoyed the 'Fantasy Genre' in books and movies. Most of all she loved her family with her whole being.
Our hearts are with you Kay and in your words we will "wrap ourselves in humor."
Kay, who lived life on her own terms is survived by her daughter, Jazlyn (Mathew Parent) Alley; son, Mitchel (Bekka) Alley; siblings, Lori (Bob) Stoner, Kathy Chamberlain, Greg (Tamara) Chamberlain, Doug (Chantel) Chamberlain; along with numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin "Marty" Chamberlain, Sharon (Simmons) Chamberlain, and Carol (Armstrong) Chamberlain, and a brother, Andrew Chamberlain.
In lieu of plants or flowers, the family asks that financial contributions be given directly to Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home. Please contact the funeral home with any questions.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home, 424 Prospect Street, Beloit, Wisconsin 53511. Online condolences can be shared at www.hansengravitt.com
