Kay Glover Langston

Funeral service for Kay Glover Langston, 80, of Piedmont will be Friday, February 28, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Green officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral Home. Mrs. Langston passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at RMC in Anniston, after a short illness. She is survived by her children, Mike Langston (Crystal) of Jacksonville and Kelly Durham (Jeff) of Piedmont; six grandchildren, Andrew Parris (Janna), Candace Stephens (Caleb), Rhonda Thomas (Nick), Brett Langston (Lacey), Keith Durham (Hope) and Derek Langston; and 13 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Brett Langston, Derek Langston, Andrew Parris, Keith Durham, Nick Thomas and Kolby Parris. Kay was a lifelong resident of Piedmont. She retired from a career with Liberty National Life Insurance Company, which she took great pride in. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Kay loved her family unconditionally and would do anything for anybody. She helped countless friends and family throughout her career as an insurance agent and was also a constant provider for many loved ones. She will be greatly missed and will live on in our hearts forever. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jerry Wayne Langston; her parents, Hugh and Nettie Lou Glover; and her sister and brother in law, Betty and J.H. Wisdom. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Mohammed Shubair and Alabama Hospice Care of East Alabama for the love and care given to their loved one.
