She was born on October 5, 1943, in Plymouth, Indiana to Lucile M. (Yockey) Sponseller and Merl A. Sponseller. Kay was a 1961 graduate of Bourbon High School in Bourbon, Indiana. She enjoyed watching her children play sports, crafting, playing cards, games and sewing. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Bourbon.
She leaves behind her son, Brad (Deborah Whitmire) Lozier (Fort Mill, SC); daughter, Julie Lozier (Yorktown, IN); granddaughter, Katie A. (Digant) Lozier Davé (Union City, NJ); and her great-granddaughter, Nora Davé (Union City, NJ). She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Geneal (Heagy) Mellott.
Kay's life will be celebrated with a private graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw at a later date officiated by Ken Locke. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
Memorial donations may be directed to Traditions Health Hospice, 3555 Park Place W - Suite 100, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545.
