Kay Hatcher Waits, age 79, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully at a local hospital surrounded by family. She was born on August 20, 1946, in Macon to the late Aaron and Doris Hatcher.

Kay retired from Frito Lay , where she worked as a dedicated line worker. She was a longtime member of Southside Methodist Church and found great joy in crochet, often crafting thoughtful gifts for loved ones. Her greatest pride and joy came from her family-she dearly loved her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Larry Waits, Sr.; her son, Keith Waits; and her sister, Jane Kitchens.

She is survived by her son Shannon Waits (Dalisa), son Larry Waits (Jennifer), and daughter-in-law Dawn Waits. She is also survived by her brother Gene Hatcher (Elaine), eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.

Services will be private, in accordance with the family's wishes.

Kay's warmth, strength, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
