Kaye L. "Kangaroo" Williams, 70-year-old Vinita resident, passed away late Tuesday, June 27, 2023. She was born on November 27, 1952, in Macomb, Illinois to Ervin Laughlin Butcher and Betty Irene (Barnes) Butcher. She graduated from Macomb Schools, and later became a registered nurse. Kaye lived in Broken Arrow where she had many animals including her Kangaroos, she worked with special needs children as well. On February 14, 2021, she married James Graham, and they made their home in rural Vinita. They were very involved in doing community dinners during the holidays in this area. Kaye also had the food bus mobile food service and worked as a waitress at the Big Cabin truck stop for a time.
The family includes her husband James Graham, and many close and very dear friends.
The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 10 a.m. in Bernice at Chamberlain Shores RV Park, Pastor Scott Dickerson will officiate. Online condolences may be made at www.highsmithfh.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Services of Vinita.
