Keeley Elizabeth Kaphingst, née Anderson, of Appleton, Wisconsin, was welcomed into her heavenly home on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the age of 41 years. Keeley was born February 11, 1983 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Jerry and Diane (Roeber) Anderson and little sister to David M. Anderson and Meghan J. Anderson. Keeley was baptized into God's family in March 1983 and confirmed her faith at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in May 1997.
Keeley enjoyed classmates and friends in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. She graduated from Hortonville High School in 2001. She then earned her cosmetology degree from the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Later she became a Certified Medical Assistant.
Keeley married Kenneth R Kaphingst on February 9, 2021 in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. They welcomed a son, Odin. He was the light of her heart for 4 years. On July 6, 2024 Keeley and Ken welcomed their daughter, Lucy to the family. Lucy too filled her mom's heart with joy and love. She was born 10 weeks premature, and Keeley spent many hours in the NICU where Lucy is being expertly cared for.
Keeley loved life, iced coffee, gerbera daisies, and traveling. She enjoyed beach combing for sea glass with friends Cathy and Bob, Sunday brunch with her family, pumpkin patches and corn mazes with friends Devon and Bobby, and country music concerts with friends Nikki and Josh. She enjoyed sometimes sampling flights of craft beer and watching movies with Kenny, and of course caring for, playing with, and teaching Odin. She was a devoted mother and wife, a wonderful daughter and daughter in-law, a treasured sister and sister in-law, and a loyal friend to many.
Keeley is survived by her husband Kenny and their two children Odin and Lucy; her parents, Jerry and Diane Anderson of Greenville; her brother, David; and sister, Meghan; in-laws, Gary and Carolyn Kaphingst of Black Creek; Grandma, Germaine Kaphingst; brother in-law, Kris (Jen) Kaphingst; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Keeley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Ruby Anderson, Wilbur and Vera Roeber; two uncles, Kenneth Roeber and Bill Roeber.
The Funeral Service for Keeley will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Greenville, Wisconsin with Rev. Steven Kline and Rev. Grant Thiel officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
