Keith Gurry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ruggiero Family Memorial Home - East Boston on Nov. 30, 2024.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keith Gurry, a beloved Son, Brother, Uncle and friend, who left this world far too soon. A longtime resident of Orient Heights in East Boston, Keith's warm spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.
Keith was the proud and devoted father of Kaylee Rose Gurry, the light of his life and his greatest source of joy. To his family and friends, Keith was a caring soul who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need, always putting others before himself. His presence brightened every room, and his humor and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Keith faced personal struggles, but those challenges never defined the incredible person he was. Instead, they highlighted his resilience and capacity for empathy, making him a source of inspiration and strength for many.
Keith shared a deep and unbreakable bond with his mother, Anne, who was a guiding presence in his life. Her unwavering love and support were a cornerstone of his journey.
Keith's passing is a profound loss to his family, friends, and the East Boston community, who will remember him for his his big heart, his warm smile and his "one liners" always giving us a good laugh. He is survived by his cherished daughter Kaylee Rose, his siblings Janet and Judith Gurry and Kristine Soriano, his nieces Stephanie McArdle, Jessica McAlpine, Justina Soriano, Jackie Gurry, his nephews Stephen Brandon and Jake Soriano, his great-nieces Layla, Ava, Martina, Celina, great-nephews Stevie, the twins Elias and Lorenzo, and Dylan, as well as a loving extended family, and countless friends who will forever hold his memory close.
A celebration of Keith's life will be held at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga St., East Boston on Friday December 6th from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. A prayer service will be held in the chapel of the memorial home at 11:00AM. Services will conclude with Keith being laid to rest at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to help offset the cost of service. A donation link will be available on Monday December 2nd.
