Keith Michael Lasater passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of January 10 in the presence of his family. Despite his many hardships and struggles, we choose to remember Keith for his adventurous spirit, sense of humor, contagious laugh, and his boundless love for his family, especially his mother. While we put Keith to rest, we are thankful for his faith in Jesus as we know he is resting peacefully in Heaven.
During Keith's life, he had many adventures. As a child, he and his siblings lived in Argentina, Iran and Venezuela. In his mid-20s, Keith spent time in Africa with his Dad and his brothers.
Keith earned a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron in the mid 80's and moved to Chicago for about 5 years to work for Allside Corporation. Keith eventually returned to the Akron Area to be closer to family. He earned his Real Estate License and worked for Century 21 for several years. Later, he worked for Polymerics, GoJo Industries and other factories in the Akron area. Keith loved rock and roll music. He enjoyed a really good steak, don't forget the horseradish. Chorizo sandwiches were a favorite as well. He also enjoyed cooking, especially Argentine food and Indian cuisine .
Keith will be remembered by his 2 daughters Kayla (Kevin) Taras, Katie (Nick) Eddleman, his sister Malinda (Dave) Mooney, his brother John, his nieces Lisa (Dale) Thompson and Laura (Mike) Reid, nephew Cody Lasater and his grandchildren and great nieces and nephews as well as many cousins. Keith was preceded in death by his parents Shirley and Kenneth and his brother Mark.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in remembrance of Keith at St Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2121 6th Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221 on Thursday, January 23rd with visitation beginning at 3:00pm and service at 4:00pm.
