Keith Poole was born June 10, 1968 to his parents Mary Jordan and L.B. Poole. He was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and was one of four siblings. Keith resided in Columbus throughout his life, where he attended and graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1986. He eventually moved to the Eastside of the city where he built his home on Marlin Drive.
He was a salon/barber shop owner at 18 years old. He worked in construction, caretaker/babysitter, and a driver for Central Ohio Transit Authority (Cota).
Keith was a kind-hearted man to strangers and a good friend to those who knew him. Some may know him as the man who raised his daughter by himself. He was known as the king of parties. He was also known as a Prophet. Regardless of how you knew him, he has continuously made a positive difference in everyone's life. The memory of him always showing his beautiful smile with his gold teeth helps ease the pain of his absence.
Keith loved his neighborhood and those who lived in it. He kept the people around him laughing and always made sure those around him were taken care of, and he would say, "If I got it, you got it". He embodied the true definition of a Strong, Independent, Black Man.
Keith loved R&B music and believed that the kind of music you listen to affects your spirit, so he always kept calm. His favorite song was "Sparkle" by Cameo. He loved his home and when asked why he didn't go out much, he would respond "I have everything I need at Home. In his home he had a beautiful island kitchen, movie theater, a jacuzzi in his bathroom, both a bar and barber station, that he built himself. He really did have everything in his house, he made a home.
Keith was called home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, L.B. Poole.
Keith's memory lives on through his mother, Mary and siblings, as well as his three children, sons, Marquis and Marquel Pool; daughter, Amani Poole; and grandson, Mateo Jackson Pool as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
