Keith Schultz Obituary

On a quiet Christmas morning, Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, Keith Schultz, 72, of Cranberry Township, with his family and loved ones at his side, was given the gift of peace after a brief battle with brain cancer. Keith was a loving husband, father, grandfather, neighbor and friend to many and he will be dearly missed by all.
Keith had immense love for his family, especially his beloved wife, Dee (DeFazio) Schultz, whom he married on May 9, 1975. Keith and Dee spent the next 49 years of their lives together, raising two treasured children, Chris (Candi) Schultz of Saxonburg and Jamie (James) Campbell of Cranberry Township. Keith cherished his three grandchildren, Aiden Schultz, Ethan Campbell and Tyler Hiles; as well as his loyal four-legged furry companions, Sophie and Violet.
Keith also is survived by his mother-in-law, Marlene DeFazio of West Mifflin; a brother, Charles Schultz (David Lara) of Phoenix, Ariz.; his brother-in-law, Frank DeFazio Jr. of West Mifflin; sister-in-law, Linda (Star) Steuernagle of Brentwood; and sister-in-law, Beverly Schultz of Chippewa; as well as by many dear aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and the most amazing friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ruth (Muse) Schultz of West Mifflin; his stepmother, Henrietta Schultz of Mars; his brother, Paul (Butch) Schultz Jr. of Chippewa, Pa., and Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and his father-in-law, Frank DeFazio of West Mifflin.
Keith worked in the tire business for 54 years, retiring earlier this year. He was also an avid outdoorsman with a particular fondness for hunting and fishing and a fan of NASCAR racing and of all Pittsburgh sports teams. He will be remembered for his willingness to help and assist anyone in need.
Family and friends were at the heart of Keith's life and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
SCHULTZ - A celebration of his life for Keith Schultz, who died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, is currently being planned by his family for May 2025.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Keith's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
